About October
October is the tenth month of the year in the Julian and Gregorian Calendars and the sixth of seven months to have a length of 31 days. The eighth month in the old Roman calendar, October retained its name (from the Latin ôctō meaning “eight”) after January and February were inserted into the calendar that had originally been created by the Romans. In Ancient Rome, one of three Mundus patet would take place on October 5, Meditrinalia October 11, Augustalia on October 12, October Horse on October 15, and Armilustrium on October 19. These dates do not correspond to the modern Gregorian calendar. Among the Anglo-Saxons, it was known as Ƿinterfylleþ, because at this full moon (fylleþ) winter was supposed to begin.October is commonly associated with the season of autumn in the Northern hemisphere and with spring in the Southern hemisphere.

Speaking to BT Sport the Manchester hero revealed drug banned Jarrell Miller, as well as unbeaten Trevor Bryan, are on the list of potential opponents for October.

He said: “I was built to be a Las Vegas showman, I’ve been building up to this for quite a long time and I’m happy I’m getting the big fights in America and crossing the pond and I’m winning.

“I’m going to go back over there in October and knock out some American and then go back over in February and kick Deontay Wilder’s a** again.

“I’m looking at opponents, ESPN want an American opponent that’s well known.

“I suggested Jarrell Miller, he’s well known, he’s unbeaten, he was highly ranked, there’s also Trevor Bryan on the list.

“There’s a couple of other American’s that no one has really heard of they’ve got no reputation.

“Obviously Wilder has been done for February so we need an opponent.

Fury was desperately unfortunate not to walk away with the WBC title in December after receiving a contentious split-decision draw against Wilder.

But the duo are slated to rematch in February next year, with Wilder first rematching Cuban veteran Luis Ortiz while Fury stays busy in October.
