About Celebrity
Celebrity is the fame and public attention accorded by the mass media to individuals or groups or, occasionally, animals, but is usually applied to the persons or groups of people (celebrity couples, families, etc.) themselves who receive such a status of fame and attention. Celebrity status is often associated with wealth (commonly referred to as fame and fortune), while fame often provides opportunities to earn revenue.
Successful careers in sports and entertainment are commonly associated with celebrity status, while political leaders often become celebrities. People may also become celebrities due to media attention on their lifestyle, wealth, or controversial actions, or for their connection to a famous person.

Each team was tasked with cooking two portions of a dish which had to look and taste exactly the same. The catch was that the partners were separated by a wall and couldn’t see what the other was doing, but they could talk to each other.

Neil and Joey had to make French toast (aka eggy bread) which was stuffed with crab and spinach and served with Maple Leaf bacon. Zandra and Oti had to make poached eggs with hollandaise sauce and smoked trout on a crumpet.
While both teams struggled, it was Joey who had the most issues as he couldn’t get the hang of the eggy bread.
Next, the contestants were tasked with their first mass catering challenge at London Zoo.
Still in their teams, they had to cook for 120 guests (60 each) using fresh ingredients and their own recipes, making both a meat and a vegetarian main and a dessert.
Joey and Neil went with cheese meatballs in a tomato sauce with pasta for their meat dish and a Thai vegetarian curry, while Oti and Zandra aimed for spicy roast chicken thighs with couscous and a lentil casserole.
But when the food was dished out, all anyone could talk about were Neil and Joey’s hilariously massive meatballs.

The dish proved popular with the zoo staff, with one worker commenting: “I’ve never eaten anything that big in my life,” while John Torode declared: “They are like asteroids.”
And viewers couldn’t get over the size of them either.
In the end, both teams managed to impress the judges, with the girls getting praise for their flavours and the boys being commended for a making popular, tasty dish.
Next time, the four will compete for a place in the semi-final.
Celebrity MasterChef continues Friday night (September 6) at 9pm on BBC One.
