Famous person MasterChef viewers say newest challenge was unfair on the ladies

Celebrity MasterChef rolled on tonight (September 18) with four stars battling it out to advance to the next round: Olympian Greg Rutherford, boxer Dillian Whyte, actress Elizabeth Bourgine and Motown legend Martha Reeves.

The famous faces were split into men and women, and tasked with creating identical dishes while separated from their teammate by a large shelf, which the tall lads could easily look over.

About Celebrity
Celebrity is the fame and public attention accorded by the mass media to individuals or groups or, occasionally, animals, but is usually applied to the persons or groups of people (celebrity couples, families, etc.) themselves who receive such a status of fame and attention. Celebrity status is often associated with wealth (commonly referred to as fame and fortune), while fame often provides opportunities to earn revenue.
Successful careers in sports and entertainment are commonly associated with celebrity status, while political leaders often become celebrities. People may also become celebrities due to media attention on their lifestyle, wealth, or controversial actions, or for their connection to a famous person.

About MasterChef
MasterChef is a competitive cooking show television format created by Franc Roddam, which originated with the UK version in July 1990. The format was revived and updated for the BBC in February 2005 by executive producers Roddam and John Silver with series producer Karen Ross.
The revived format is sold internationally by production company, Endemol Shine Group. Its first international adaptation was MasterChef Australia, which began in 2009.

If that didn’t seem one-sided enough, Greg and Dillian were asked to cook meatballs and gnocchi while Elizabeth and Martha had to make lobster and pasta. And they actually had to make the pasta, rather than just chucking in some boiling water like every other person on the planet.

But Gregg Wallace and John Torode were actually really impressed with the ladies, and were especially pleased with Martha’s effort, praising her for picking up the instructions and truly understanding flavour.

… Then, in the second task, neither of them knew the right order to layer a lasagne. Can’t win them all.

The four celebs will return to fight for a semi-final place in the next episode, which airs Friday (September 20) at 9pm on BBC one.
